Deepika Padukone Diet and Fitness Regime

DEEPIKA'S EXERCISE AND GYMMING FOR A PERFECT FIGURE I think working towards maintaining a healthy body should be a priority for everyone. I try and work out as often as possible; since I am regularly traveling, it becomes difficult to have a daily work out routine but whenever I hit the gym I do cardio and light weights. I have an athletic body, thanks to my years dedicated to badminton but I do concentrate on butt regions. I go to the gym whenever I can. Now I have joined the Sykes gym in Andheri and I do make it a point when I am travelling to work out in the hotel gym. Trainer: In Bangalore I did have a trainer and here at the gym too there are trainers who guide you but otherwise I don’t work with a trainer. Yoga: I have just started yoga. I do it in the evenings. I go to a Yoga school nearby. Sports: until two years back I played basketball and even some baseball for the state. I am a sporty person but get less time now. I was fitter when I was younger. When I played badminto...

Shilpa Shetty's Beauty and Make-Up Tips

MAKE-UP TIPS - MY basic rule is "less is more". Wearing a heavy base, caked powder and red rouge just looks scary. - Never do your face in public. You distort your face to apply cosmetics and that is not an attractive look, which is why I applied mine away from the cameras in the Big Brother bathroom. - Accentuate just one feature. If, like me, you want to draw attention to your eyes keep your lipstick quite understated. If you have lovely, pouty lips, wear a darker gloss and keep your eyes subtle. - Eyelash curlers can open up your eyes and give them definition without the need for layers of mascara. - Use false eyelashes for a more glamorous night-time look. BEAUTY TIPS - No matter how late I come home, I always remove my make-up. I mix pure coconut oil with olive oil, smooth it over my skin and wipe it off with cotton wool. It's naturally soothing to skin. - Try to sleep for a minimum of eight hours a day and never use soap on your face - it's too harsh. - Don'...

Shilpa Shetty's Hair Care Tips

HAIR CARE - Keep it natural. Hair that has been crimped, curled and sprayed looks so overdone. Best to make it look as if it's natural, loose and shiny. - Wash hair every second day so it isn't stripped of natural oils. - And change your shampoo regularly, as using the same products causes build up. I don't use any particular shampoo but the best conditioner is the L'Oreal Kerastase range - you can feel it working. - My hair is blow-dried straight, but I'd never use heated straighteners as they frazzle your hair.

Amisha Patel's Beauty and Fitness Fundas

An absolute make-up must-have A baby pink lip gloss. My favourite beauty treatment Facials My best feature and how I highlight it My eyes! I use colourless or black mascara (according to the occasion) kohl on the inner eyes to accentuate them. My worst feature and how I camouflage it My ears! I am constantly trying to hide them by leaving my hair open. Make-up by day Colourless mascara, pink blush and lip gloss. But if I’m in no mood for make-up, I’ll leave my face clean, with just a bit of Clarins moisturiser. Make-up at night I prefer deeper colours at night. I play around my eyes with kohl and black mascara, a little bit ofbronzer, and go for a darker nail colour. My skin loves Lots of water and the hands of my facial lady! A make-up blooper and how I coped with it: In one of my films, I used a dark lip liner around a lighter shade of lipstick; it was a trend then.I shot a couple of scenes and when I saw the rushes, I realised that it looked like burnt lips filled up with colour! I ...

Amrita Rao's Beauty Routine - Skin and Hair Care

Skin Care I am particular about cleansing my skin on a daily basis to avoid acne and blemishes. I never use make-up when I'm not shooting. I use Cetaphil face cleanser to remove my make-up, which if left unwashed is the main reason for blackheads. I pamper my skin with a good night cream before I go to bed. I use a hydro-nourishing under eye cream at night. It spreads evenly and restores the moisture balance. Since I have oily skin, I use a fig and fruit pack that does wonders for my skin. Hair Care I oil my hair with baby oil as often as I can for smooth and soft hair. Plus, I shampoo and condition my hair daily.

Amrita Rao's Workout Schedule

I have a personal trainer, who comes home thrice in a week. I usually work-out to tone my body with dumbbells. I don't work-out on weights. I primarily do aerobics and stretching to keep myself fit. I do a lot of stretching, which is necessary for flexibility in dancing. I am a healthy girl so working out is not a must for me! I must confess I am lucky in this regard. I can eat what I like. Tips For A Healthy Exercise Regime Develop healthy habits by jogging and walking that extra mile. Work-out in gym only if you feel it is necessary for you otherwise please don't kill yourself with weights for hours. Beauty lies in being healthy so they say – early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise!

Treading Too Hard: Over-Exercising Has Taken its Toll on Bipasha’s Knee

Bipasha Basu has taken her fitness regimen too far. She has apparently overdone her workout, running 10 km at a stretch on the treadmill. So much so that she has developed a knee problem. However, the professional that she is she not just continued her shooting schedule, but also went ahead to shoot a dance number for Yashraj’s Bachna Ae Haseeno, continuously for four days, with the help of a physiotherapist. Priyanka Chopra's Idea of Relaxation and Her Happiness Quotient

MY IDEA OF RELAXATION : Spending time with family and friends. Reading books, catching up on movies, listening to good music, a good massage, going for long drives, sleeping, it could be anything. Also yoga helps a lot to relax and refresh. MY HAPPINESS QUOTIENT: Work keeps me happy. Also my family. I am a family person by nature and would rather spend time at home with them, than party out. Simple things in life like seeing a child smile makes me happy. Chilling at home and watching a nice movie gives me as much joy as shooting round-the-clock does. I really am a happy-go-lucky-person. I love to have positive people around me. There is no room for negativity in my life. I’m a very positive and optimistic person myself and appreciate the same qualities in others as well.

Priyanka Chopra's Daily Food - No Diet Plans for Priyanka

Fortunately I do not have a tendency to put on weight and can get away eating as much as I want to, which is a blessing in this industry. But even then, I’m not weight-conscious and eat well like a Punjabi kudi. I love eating ghar ka khana and am nonfussy about food. So no diet plans for me at all. What I do try and avoid is oily food. I don’t have that in excess. Priyanka's Daily Diet My daily diet consists of regular food like chapati, vegetables, soups, salads, rice, dal and lots of fruits. Also juices and water are very high on my intake list. In fact, water is a must for everyone, at least ten glasses a day. I often overshoot that, but it does wonders to your skin. But I often indulge my tastebuds over weekends and they are reserved for binging on chocolates, cakes and tandooris. Priyanka's Favourite Dishes Chicken or Mutton Biryani Curd Rice With South Indian Fish Curry Makkai Ki Roti with Sarson Ka Saag. I love all kinds of Stuffed Parathas with White Butter. That is wh...

Priyanka Chopra's Workout Regime: Her Fitness Quotient

WORKOUT REGIME: I am Not a Gym-Freak I am not a gym-freak, but I do work out regularly to keep the body well-toned. The idea is to keep fit and healthy and not shrink myself by two or three sizes. I find that trend amongst celebrities disturbing, since a lot of kids and teenagers strive to attain our kind of figures, but without proper guidance. That could prove harmful in the long run. My gym work-outs usually last for about an hour. I Recommend Yoga I also do yoga and find it both relaxing and very energising. It’s great to keep your mind and body healthy. It’s definitely something I would recommend.

But when you want to become an actor, you have to start focusing on your body. I worked out a lot then. But I'm n...

Esha Deol's Exercise and Fitness Regime

Aditya Chopra, the producer (of Dhoom), wanted me for the role of a glamour girl in the film and told me to reinvent myself, after delivering specifics for the role in terms of look and character. So I geared up and got a new regime for my workout. When I started out, I had lots of time on my hands as I had taken a break and wasn’t signing any films, so for seven months, I worked out for one-and-a-half to two hours at the gym, every day. I’d do cardio (treadmill, cycling, steppers). I managed to get that sexy abs that I never thought was possible. For my washboard-flat stomach, I worked with my trainer (Sherveer Vakil) for one hour daily. I owe my trim--sexy look to buddy Zayed Khan. He pushed me into joining a fitness course and after a year of doing barbell and dumb-bell, I’ve become a fitness fanatic. I’ve also realised the importance of eating right and avoiding oily, fatty food. Now, I hardly get the time to work out, but I still make it a point to go to the gym, as much as possib...
